We recognise that joining a new practice involves financial uncertainty. To support doctors during their transition, we are offering introductory income guarantees alongside our percentage-based billing arrangements.

1. Full-Time Specialist GP
$190/hour minimum guarantee for the first 12 weeks, or 70% of eligible billings, whichever is higher.
Guarantee applies to up to 32 agreed clinical hours per week.

2. Part-Time Specialist GP

Guarantee initially applies to up to 16 agreed clinical hours per week.

3. Six-Month GP Locum
$200/hour minimum guarantee for the first eight weeks, or 70% of eligible billings, whichever is higher.
Six-month fixed-term engagement.
Introductory guarantee applies to up to 16 agreed clinical hours per week.
Thereafter, 70% of eligible standard consultation billings, subject to the agreed service terms.
Flexible sessions, with approximately two days per week initially available.
Modern practice facilities and administrative support.
Opportunity to discuss a longer-term arrangement if mutually suitable and legally permitted.
This opportunity may also be suitable for certain doctors eligible for a six-month section 19AB locum exemption. Individual Medicare eligibility, exemption approval and provider-number requirements must be satisfied before commencing.

Income guarantees apply only to agreed eligible clinical hours and are alternatives to, not additions to, the applicable percentage of billings. Specified service categories may have different billing arrangements. Complete financial terms, eligibility, GST and other applicable obligations will be documented in the individual agreement.

A Pathway to Shared Ownership and Profit Sharing

Our long-term vision for Onyx Health Group includes a network of clinician-led general practices in which committed doctors may have opportunities to participate in the value they help create.
We envisage a structured progression that may include:
Stage 1 — Clinical Participation
Join Onyx Health as an independent medical practitioner under an agreed service arrangement, with competitive billing terms and appropriate clinical independence.
Stage 2 — Performance-Based Participation
Following a minimum of 12 months, eligible doctors may be considered for a discretionary service-fee rebate arrangement, subject to objective criteria, practice performance and formal agreement.
Stage 3 — Potential Shared Ownership and Profit Sharing
As the group develops, Onyx Health intends to explore opportunities for suitable doctors to participate in location-based profit sharing and potentially shared equity ownership.
Any such opportunity would depend on the development and approval of an appropriate structure, eligibility, valuation, commercial terms, applicable law and formal legal documentation.
The ownership and profit-sharing pathways are future proposals, not currently guaranteed benefits, equity offers or entitlements. Participation would be optional and subject to separate agreement.
Our aim is to create an environment in which doctors can pursue professional development, leadership and long-term participation in a growing healthcare organisation.
Teaching, Mentoring and Clinical Development
Our longer-term ambition includes supporting GP registrar training, clinical mentoring and professional development.
We welcome doctors with interests in skin cancer medicine, general dermatology, women's and children's health, chronic disease management, preventive health, procedural general practice and other areas of comprehensive primary care.
Teaching and supervision opportunities will depend on the relevant approvals, accreditation requirements and practice capacity.
Who Should Apply?

Hold FRACGP, FACRRM or an accepted equivalent specialist GP qualification.
Have current AHPRA registration appropriate to the position.
Are eligible to obtain and maintain the required Medicare provider number for Scarborough.

Are interested in collaborative, high-quality general practice.
Important location information: Scarborough is currently classified as MM1 and non-DPA. Applicants subject to Medicare location restrictions must demonstrate an appropriate exemption or eligibility before commencing Medicare-billable clinical work.
